Der Eisendrache No Power Strategy Guide Using Mega Gobblegums
This guide will cover the strategies employed to get to round 165 on Der Eisendrache without turning on the power. Please note that this guide uses Mega Gobblegums. Many aspects of this strategy are very different from the Classic/No Gobblegums versions of this challenge. It is recommended to use parts of this guide to assist you with those types of records.
Gobblegum Loadout
The Gobblegums recommend are as follows:
-
Perkaholic
-
Idle Eyes
-
Wall Power
-
Bullet Boost
- In Plain Sight
In Plain Sight and Perkaholic can be replaced for Reign Drops and another Gobblegum of your choosing if you prefer speed over safety. It is worth mentioning that in very late rounds, the need for Idle Eyes becomes more and more important. It is not advised to replace it, or Wall Power & Bullet Boost.
Setup
Start by opening the door on the driveway side of the map. Next, Open the gate door followed by the door leading to Samanthas room. The last two that need opened are the ones near the Gobblegum machine.

It is crucial that you DO NOT open the door shown in the picture below. There are two of them on either side of the room with the Dragon Head. Neither should be opened at any point.

Make sure to get the Perkaholic Gobblegum by this point.
AATs & Guns
Start by cycling Gobblegums for Wallpower and Bullet Boost. After the weapons are Pack-a-Punched, you will want Deadwire on the M8A7 wallbuy in the room with the Dragon head, Turned on the HVK-30 which is located in the room with the Gobblegum machine, and Fireworks on the KN-44 which is located in Samanthas bedroom.
Deadwire --> M8A7
Turned --> HVK-30
Fireworks --> KN-44
The reason why it matters what AAT goes on what gun is simple. Deadwire is used the most for this strategy so it is in the room that the strategy will take place. Turned is second most important so it is in the room with the Gobblegum Machine and is close enough to buy ammo inbetween rounds. It is not recommended to switch out any AATs because of the way this strategy makes use of delaying zombies on the staircases.
Training
Start at the left set of stairs that face the opposite direction of the Wunderfizz machine. (see image A). As zombies approach you, you should be stunning them with your Electric Cherry perk as well as Widows Wine to delay their approach to you. You should also be using your available AATs when they recharge. Once you become overrun, pass line 2 (see second image). Walk to the edge and jump off, then run to the other set of stairs. Proceed to stun and kill zombies like earlier, but this time, do not pass line 3 untill you are ready to jump. When running back to reset, run by the fireplace side of the room. It is important to remember not pass line 2 or 3 anytime you are not ready to jump. Otherwise zombies will start to climb up the ledge and block your escape. In early rounds, this is not crucial to do, as you will be killing the zombies very fast. Later round, however, are much different in this regard.
You may pass line 1 anytime you wish, however, spawns will be faster if you stay behind line 1 at the very top of the stairs. I only stand behind it when I have a Death Machine or Instakill powerup.

Dealing with Panzers
This is where Idle Eyes come in handy. It is reccomended to get it before a Panzer round occurs (round 12, then every 5-6 rounds). Once the panzer approaches you, pop the Gobblegum and it will be frozen in place, waiting to be killed by the player. Idle Eyes is also terrific if you become surrounded. As you pop it, you wont take damage. Lastly, In Plain Sight is a great backup. It can be used incase you do not get Idle Eyes in time or run out of the three charges that it gives. As mentioned earlier, if you want to remove this safety-net for speed, the strategy will still work.
